Buckminster Barn is one of the most beautiful ‘blank canvas’ wedding venues in Leicestershire. A lovingly converted farm building simply oozes with traditional charm. With flagstone flooring and stunning views over a private lawn, this superbly flexible space can seat up to 60 guests and accommodate 120 for an evening event. There is plenty of room outdoors to locate a marquee in the private garden. Buckminster Lakeside

You will find Buckminster Lakeside, one of the most unique wedding venues in Leicestershire, accessed via a private driveway, nestled amidst 15 acres of stunning woodland and pastureland, complete with its own magnificent, sweeping lake. It’s difficult to imagine this super tranquil spot sits within 25 miles of the cities of Nottingham, Leicester, Loughborough and Peterborough.

The exquisite location, with capacity for up to 499, is only available for a maximum of six weddings each year, so this really is the ultimate when it comes to exclusivity.

Ceremonies in style

You may already have a clear vision of where you want to take your vows. Maybe you are looking for a traditional church ceremony or are you hoping to say “I do” outdoors against a backdrop of panoramic Leicestershire views? Whatever your preference, we have got you covered.

At Buckminster, there is the option to take your vows at St John the Baptist Church, a charming, Grade 1 listed village church located just a short walk away from Buckminster Barn that can seat up to 250 people.

Alternatively, both venues have a Civil Ceremony licence so you can marry on site, meaning no travelling between ceremony and reception and no parking fiascos! Or, if you would prefer, you are free to have your ceremony elsewhere and use our venues for a blessing, reception or celebrant wedding.

Family celebrations

Buckminster Barn is an idyllic East Midlands location for parties and family celebrations. This flexible space, with its oak beams and flagstone floor, offers a friendly, relaxed atmosphere which can be styled perfectly to suit any event. A kitchen area allows you to prepare refreshments. Outside a large, private garden gives additional space for a stretch tent, marquee or tipi, if required, and for your guests to mingle.
